Are you wondering who to vote for? Are you already a committed party loyalist? Either way, the must-attend event of Human Rights week will be the Election Debate on Monday night, featuring MPs and provincial leaders from all the major parties contesting the general election.
Confirmed participants will include:
1. African Christian Democratic Party – Thabo Hermanus (Provincial Council Chair)
2. African National Congress – rep to be confirmed
3. African Peoples Convention - Phumzile Songo
4. Congress of the People – rep to be confirmed
5. Democratic Alliance –Bobby Stevenson, MPL
6. Independent Democrats – Lance Greyling MP
7. Pan African Congress - Khwezi S. Dalasile (Provincial Secretary PAC)
8. United Democratic Movement –Yusuf Patel
The following parties were invited but either did not respond or declined to
participate:
Freedom Front +, Inkatha Freedom Party and the United Christian Democratic Party
This is your chance to make up your mind who to vote for. Hear directly from party leaders what all the parties have to say about the issues that matter to you!
Student leaders will ask questions relating to major manifesto issues including:
