Dear Rhodents,
Please be aware that no student parties may occur this week, until the end of Intervarsity weekend, otherwise the University will cancel our participation in Intervarsity with immediate effect. Please assist us in ensuring that we are allowed to participate this year as well as in following years. Please understand that nobody wants to cancel our participation in the Intervarsity, especially the University itself, but something had to happen to resolve the problems that have been experienced over the past several years in the event. Our concern, together with Rhodes senior management, is curtailing the problems associated with Intervarsity, and we all wish to save the event for the sportsmen and women. Lastly, please another reminder that NMMU has introduced a policy that no alcohol will be allowed onto their campus, other than alcohol purchased from their set-up beer tents, and all imported alcohol will be confiscated from any Rhodent's person and/or vehicle, and not returned. Please don't forget your student cards for the weekend, and best of luck to all Rhodents' participating in this year's Intervarsity - bring us back the trophy friends. Thank you.
