Thesis title: Biological control of the cactus Trichocereus spachianus in South Africa.

Trichocereus spachianus, a cactus native to Argentina, is becoming an increasing problem in South Africa. Tamzin’s PhD is focused on identifying potential insect biological control agents, with emphasis on Hypogeococcus, from the plants native range through extensive field surveys and various laboratory experiments.
