Research Project

Characterisation of a novel isoform of the human Hsp70/Hsp90 Organising Protein (HOP)

Comparison of the HOP gene across species and a bioinformatic analysis of the putative HOP promoter. Analysis of the transcriptional regulation of HOP by RAS and p53. The demonstration of the existence and expression of HOP-1a as a distinct and novel isoform of known HOP. A mechanistic analysis of the role of HOP-1a in cancer.
