Harry Owen

Poet Laureate, Cheshire. Appointed the Poet Laureate for Cheshire (UK) in 2003 and moved to Grahamstown in January 2008. Having had his work published widely in literary journals and anthologies in UK, USA and South Africa, he is also the author of five poetry collections: Searching for Machynlleth (2000), The Music of Ourselves (2004), Five Books of Marriage (2008), Non-Dog (2010) and Worthy: poems for my father (2011). He is the editor of I Write Who I Am: an anthology of Upstart poetry (2011) and For Rhino in a Shrinking World: an international anthology (2012). In 2012 his poetry featured in the South African English Olympiad anthology Small Town, Big Voice.
