A Green Call to Action to mark Nelson Mandela Day on Monday 18 July!
The IERM (Institute of Environment and Recreation Management) has issued a green call to action to local authorities to pledge their support to planting trees, beautifying road islands and cleaning sporting facilities, parks or water bodies.
* Make every day a Mandela Day! *
In honour of the 67 years Mandela spent fighting for the rights of humanity, residents, business and media are encouraged to join in, canvas and support Makana Municipality, and contribute a minimum of 67 minutes to bettering our local environment.

The IERM will reinforce the call on 12 July on SAFM and highlight the country-wide support on SABC2’s Morning Live on 18 July.
