NALSU NEWS ITEM: NALSU’s Prof Mike Rogan, new MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on Decent Work and economic growth.

NALSU's Mike Rogan, and fellow experts Martha Chen, Gary S. Fields, Kunal Sen and Andy Sumner, have launched an exciting new, free MOOC on policy interventions that can support sustainable, equitable economic development while creating decent work. The course is hosted by the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), and links to UN Sustainable Development Goal #8.

The 6-week course, created in collaboration with the SDG Academy, starts on 2 October 2023. It brings together experts with decades of experience and engages new UNU-WIDER research on structural transformation, transforming informal work and livelihoods, and the scope for full and productive employment. The is available internationally on the edX online education platform. There is also an option to earn a verified certificate for a small fee. Sign up here:
