A very warm welcome to the Nelson Mandela Hall Home Page. We are the newest Hall on campus, formally established in 2002. Being a new Hall of Residence, we have been presented with a tremendous opportunity to shape the culture, traditions and ethos of the Hall, and so, like this Web page, we are dynamic and constantly striving for excellence! On 6th April 2002, Nelson Mandela accepted an Honorary Doctorate from Rhodes University. The Hall is thrilled and honoured that he has granted permission for this Hall to take on his name.
