Muyon Mafulu

Muyon Mafulu, born and raised in Johannesburg, is completing her final year in BFA at Rhodes University. She is a student majoring in Art History and Fine art Practice. Her work consists of sculpture and is passionate about exploring her Namibian and Congolese identity and heritage throughout her body of work. Her research topic deals with ancestral background and lineage within performance art and South African art. She aims to investigate how ancestral lineage can influence many artists and the artworld, by, further disrupting the stereotypes that exist.
