Lifang Zhang received her Master’s degree from the Department of Asian and African Languages & Literatures at Peking University in 2017. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Art History at Rhodes University with the NRF/DST SARChI Chair Geopolitics and the Arts of Africa, Arts of Africa and Global Souths research programme. Her research interests include; contemporary arts of Africa; geopolitics and global south; materiality; visual arts in relation to Africa-China engagements; interactions between literature and art; and so on.
