Orientation Week 2026 is off to a remarkable start following the successful completion of Session 1 of the Career Centre’s “Mapping Your Career Journey” workshop for first-year students. The session drew overwhelming interest, with the venue filled beyond capacity as students gathered with enthusiasm to begin shaping their academic and professional futures.

The Enactus Rhodes University team has made an inspiring return to the national stage, reaching the semi-finals of the prestigious 2025 Enactus South Africa National Exposition, held on Thursday, 17 July, just one year after the chapter was revived.

Rhodes University successfully hosted Career Week 2025 from 14 to 17 April, a dynamic, multi-day event that connected students with potential employers and industry professionals. Designed to prepare students for life after graduation, the initiative provided valuable opportunities to engage directly with recruiters, explore diverse career paths, and gain insight into the professional world.

Towards the end of 2024, Rhodes University student Bridget Mtetwa, a Pharmacy Masters student, achieved a significant milestone at the 2024 EDHE Entrepreneurship Intervarsity Competition. Bridget secured 2nd place in the Social Impact category, earning national recognition for her innovative business, Bridget’s Learning Hub.
