Workshops offered 1st Term 2018

The Career Lounge

The Career Lounge is a new initiative and forms part of a  University based Career Development Plan to increase the knowledge of opportunities and careers available in the Biodiversity sector in South Africa. This has been a long process of collaboration between The Lewis Foundation, SANBI, WWF-SA, Green Matter and all universities in South Africa.  The idea of the Career Lounge is to create an opportunity and an “informal” space for professionals in various careers in biodiversity to showcase their career and the highlights of their job so that students get valuable insights into various careers and can get  information about where to start their job search process. This is an ideal space and opportunity  to ask questions and interact with the presenter. We are planning on having 6 presentations this year to showcase different careers in the Biodiversity sector.

Are you interested in a career in biodiversity? Are you keen to be green? Let the experts show you how you can be paid and be 'part of the solution'. Plenty of opportunities to chat informally with the speaker and get more insights into the career journeys you always wondered about.
