Thandie Nqowana is a lecturer at Rhodes University, Community Engagemente. She is doing her PhD in Biotechnology. As part of this team she has been involved in translating and vetting of materials into Isixhosa.  Through RUCE, she is also part of the team distributing printed materials such as the Grocotts Mail newspaper and speaking to community members via a loudhailer.
