Merit awards are made on an annual basis to recognise academics who have contributed beyond that which is expected. Deans and HoDs as well as colleagues can motivate for an individual to receive an award. Academics can also apply for these awards.

For all dates related to this process, please refer to: http://www.ict.ru.ac.za/calendars.html and add the “Rhodes University HR Calendar - Processes and deadlines” to your calendars

Once in this calendar, type in “Academic Merit Awards” in the “Search” field and all the relevant dates will appear. Please note that in order for you to download this calendar you must have access to Google calendar.  If you are not currently a Google calendar user please contact IT at support@ru.ac.za to set this up for you.
