Vacancies can take time to fill. During this time, HoDs and managers may require temporary assistance. Should this be the case, HoDs/managers should have completed the vacancy form and may contact the HR Generalist for their area.
Temps are encouraged to apply for permanent positions but do not automatically qualify to be screened. Please refer to the Recruitment Policy (available under Docs and Info) to determine whether your temp is eligible for screening.
Please note that the appointment of temps must be processed by HR and prospective staff must receive an offer of employment prior to starting employment at Rhodes University.
Subject to certain conditions, grade 1 -5 casual workers can be employed through the HR Division. Please contact your HR Genearalist for assistance.
