Equity Policy

The right to equal treatment is one of the fundamental rights that are conferred by section 9 of the Constitution (Bill of Rights). This was further simplified by the Employment Equity Act. Rhodes University is fully aware of the fact that its community is diverse with members from different cultural backgrounds, social groups, ages, sexual orientation etc.

The University acknowledges that Rhodes community members must be treated equitably and is committed to eradicate all aspects of unfair discrimination in its policies and practices.
