Ignite the Christmas Spirit of Adventure

Ubom!, a non-profit organisation run by Rhodes drama lecturer Janet Buckland, has a brand new pantomime directed by Brink Scholtz (Ubom!) and choreographed by Levern Botha (First Physical Theatre Company) called "uHansie noGrietjie eRhini: A Christmas Adventure"

Hansie & Grietjie are setting off on the adventure of a life-time. Fiery choreography, thrilling songs, a hunky step-mama, a deliciously evil tipsy-tart witch, and a set design to rival any Disney movie in creativity and magic, "uHansie noGrietjie eRhini" is guaranteed to delight the whole family.

‘Mary Christmas’ will be fundraising at the event for the Grocott’s Cheer Fund and Raphael Centre. The main fundraiser is the Amaphiko Township Dance Project and their Whole-Person Venture that sponsors these young SA talents in Maths classes and academic needs, and all proceeds from the ticket sales will go into the project. Best of all is that the adorable dancers feature in the show! So everyone gets to see their budding talent in action.

The Umbhiyozo party begins at 17h30 with Ubom!'s "uHansie noGrietjie eRhini" hitting the stage at 19h00. Contact Sarah for more information/bookings on (046) 603 8771 / s.robeson@ru.ac.za
