At Rhodes University, the intellectual home of the project will be the Department of Management, in the United Kingdom it will be the project’s network partner at Middlesex University Business School in London and in China its network partner at the Nanjing University Business School in Nanjing.

Resources are available in the Department of Management at Rhodes University to accommodate the postgraduate students as well as a temporary research/teaching/administrative assistant.

Over time and with the support of the University, the Department of Management could become a leader in South Africa and on the African continent. This will offer unlimited opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of international partners and build longstanding international partnerships.

It is anticipated that at the end of the project’s first three years, collaborations with international higher educational institutions and businesses could become more formalised where appropriate, with the opportunity of attracting funding.

Collaborations between African, Chinese and UK universities are favourably regarded.
