The Innovations programme is a vibrant theatre festival run by students, performed by students, for a student audience. It aims to provide a platform for experimentation and expression, so that students are able to explore theatre beyond the curriculum, and free from the boundaries that are often placed on performance when crafting for assessment, teaching, and learning purposes. It is also a unique opportunity to display ideas with the support of the infrastructure that the Rhodes Theatre can provide ? with technical, marketing, and rehearsal venue resources all provided free of charge. This is a very rare and unique opportunity for young theatre makers and their audiences to engage with the theatre world for free! It needs to be emphasised that tonight?s programme is entirely run by and performed by Rhodes students. The Innovations producers this year have risen to the challenge of creating a unique performance experience which begins beyond the stage, and have also gained important skills in theatre management and administration. The Rhodes Drama department staff warmly invites you to indulge in the vibrant and diverse performance languages of our future directors, choreogaphers and performers.
