National Bandana Day 12 Oct

Bandana Day on the 12th October. Bandanas will be sold for R20. All funds raised will go to the Sunflower Fund in aid of patients suffering from leukemia.

The Sunflower Fund was formed in 1999 to help children with leukemia and other life threatening blood disorders. The Sunflower Fund builds the bone marrow registry of South Africa so that when children have leukemia they can find a bone marrow stem cell donor match as quickly and cost effectively as possible.

The motto of The Sunflower Fund is 'share a little, save a life' because it only takes a small gesture to help South African children with leukemia and other blood disorders. Just by telling people about The Fund and wearing a Sunflower Bandana on the 12 October gives leukemia patients much needed hope.
