I, James Tsabora, duly appointed as Impartial Officer by the Office of the Dean of Students to act as such during the Rhodes University SRC General Elections held on the 5th and 6th September 2012, do hereby declare as follows:

  1. The SRC General Election held between 5th and 6th September 2012 is hereby declared free and fair.
  2. The SRC General Election results, announced by SRC Liaison office Mr. E Ofei, on Friday 7th September 2012 are valid and represent a true reflection of the views of the electorate (Rhodes University students).
  3. There were no incidents, events, activities or mishaps that took place during this period and immediately after and that were brought to the IO’s attention that impugn the credibility, legitimacy and validity of the said general election.

The full Report of the Impartial Officer on the SRC General Elections has been transmitted to the Office of the Dean of Students.
