HIV/AIDS CandleLight Vigil

SHARC in collaboration with SRC invites Staff and Students to a CandleLight Vigil happening on the 24 August (Friday) at 17:30. Venue: We will meet in front of the Rhodes Admin Building/the Clock Tower then we will march (walk) to the Rhodes Chapel.

We want to use the Candlelight Memorial as an opportunity to promote local HIV services, encourage education and community dialogue, and advocate for the advancement of public policy. It will include lighting of candles, marching to the Rhodes Chapel, a speech; all in
hope to create  a safe space for interaction and community engagement.

The CandleLight Vigil will be our way of showing solidarity, breaking down barriers of stigma and discrimination, and giving hope to new generations.
