Students gathered in the Rhodes University sociology seminar room today where author and former Rhodes student Suraya Dadoo, spoke about her book Why Israel? The Anatomy of Zionist Apartheid – A South African Perspective.
The book discusses the current lack of freedom for the Palestinian people in Israel.
Many people find the term Israeli Apartheid problematic and “an insult to South Africans,” says Dadoo. She argues that every South African Apartheid law has its equivalent in Israel today.
