In late September 2025, when spring had sprung, DZE students and staff conduct a bioblitz of the Bots Gardens to find its signature species! Meeting at the La Cafe, students and staff, as well as members of the local birding club, set out to survey the gardens for its unique fauna. Each team focussed on a separate taxon, with the Terrestrial Insect Team attracting almost 60 students!
The day was sunny and the animals were out! Students took photographs of the animals that they observed and uploaded them to the iNaturalist app.
