On Saturday 24 October, a gathering in the Makana Botanical Gardens was part of more than 5200 events in 181 countries around the world. The 350.org International day of action has been the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet's history. Campus and community came together on the lawns of Bots, helping draw attention to the need for radical carbon reduction and adding their voice to the planet-wide call for strong action and bold leadership on the climate crisis.
