    Research: Examine the extent to which the Central Johannesburg College, hospitality curriculum equips students for the job market or towards entrepreneurial avenues.

    My research will focus on Further Education Training Colleges, known as FET Colleges.  There has been a lot of debate surrounding the capability of these colleges, whether they are capable of providing students with the appropriate skills and knowledge, to either enter the job market or become entrepreneurs. I am intrigued by the existence and purpose of these colleges, which accepts students who has either grade 10 to 12 and offer a variety of certificates and diplomas.  In order for my research to be viable and manageable, I have chosen to use one College (CJC) as a case-study and will focus on the hospitality course offered at this college; to examine whether the students studying this course are in the end well equipped for work or entrepreneurship.
