I am from Margate, a town in Kwa-Zulu Natal. I did my undergraduate studies at Rhodes majoring in Industrial and Economic Sociology and Management. I also completed my honours degree at Rhodes.  I am currently doing my Masters in Industrial and Economic Sociology.  My proposed thesis topic is analysing a particular strike that happened in the motor industry. Looking particularly at the events leading up to the strike, what happened during the strike and the collective agreements that were reached. And lastly explore alternatives that could decrease strike action, particularly production led remuneration.
