Chjnyere NdubuisiI was born in Nigeria and still lives in Nigeria. She is a Drawing and Sculpture Lecturer at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria. She has a Ph.D, M.A and B.A in Visual Arts, majoring in sculpture from the University of Lagos as well as HND in Sculpture from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State.

She is a member of the Society of Nigerian Artist (SNA), the major art body in Nigeria. She is also a member of the Female Artists Association of Nigeria (FAAN), the first female art body in Nigeria. She is a former vice president of the Female Artist Association of Nigeria. She has over twenty (20) academic publications in reputable national and international journals and has participated in eighteen (18) international and local conferences. In addition, she has participated in many Art Exhibitions, Seminars and Workshops all of which are art and culture related. She is Currently the Head of Department of Fine Art, Yaba College of Technology, which is recorded as the first formal Art School in Nigeria.

She is married with four children (three boys and one girl).
