Innocent Tinashe Mutero

Art POWA member

Innocent Tinashe Mutero is a researcher, activist and artist. His research interests are in arts for social change, community engagement and shared agency, and conflict transformation (theory and practice).  He holds a PhD in Peace Studies from the Durban University of Technology, a Master of Arts Applied Ethnomusicology (UKZN) and a Bachelor of Social Sciences Honours Music and Musicology (MSU). Tinashe has three years experience teaching music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal under the African Music Project and 9 years working experience in arts for social change, arts administration gained in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
