Osakue S. Omoera, Ph.D, is a senior lecturer in the Department of Theatre and Media Arts, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria. Apart from being widely travelled, he is on the leading edge of research in the area of Nollywood Studies, particularly the Benin video-film segment as well as the social impact of the media on developing societies, and the dynamics of African cultural performance, among other areas, in which he has published extensively.
