Little Flower Pre-school: The award-winning nursery school had been serving 40 children, has grown from a single room in a small RDP house to a three classroomed school catering for a toddler group, for children aged nine months to two years, and two classes for children from three to seven. Little Flower Day Care Centre came third in the Best Early Childhood Development Centre category at the 2012 Eastern Cape Early Childhood Development (ECD) Awards in November. Of their experience at the centre, volunteers nominating the preschool remarked: Little Flower is a great place to volunteer. Mam Lungi is an amazing woman, she motivates children and volunteers, is passionate and well organised.
