As part of the SRI Africa Satellite Event, the Future Earth Africa Hub and its Leadership Centre hosted a one-day Consultative meeting to engage diverse research and innovation partners. The meeting that was held on 20 May 2024, discussed the governance of the Future Earth Africa Hub and its Leadership Centre, with presentations on its background, governance, structure, regional nodes, and planned activities. The meeting also discussed the work plan and progress of the Sustainability Science Clusters and the Future Earth Africa Hub Regional Nodes. Participants engaged in round table discussions that looked at addressing the vision, goals, and strategic plans of the Future Earth Africa Hub Regional Nodes and the Sustainability Science Clusters.
The meeting served as a platform to collate input from the participating stakeholders on the planned activities for the Hub and the Leadership Centre, encompassing scoping efforts, capacity development and communication strategies, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning framework.
