MSc, PhD and Postdoctoral Fellows
The Department of Geology welcomes applications for higher degrees and post-doctoral research. All departmental academics and most accociated staff are involved in research programmes, and are potentially interested in supervising research students or hosting PDRFs. Interested candidates must contact prospective supervisors in order to discuss staff availability, research topics, available research funds and potential avenues to secure scholarships or stipends, before a formal application is made. Competitive PhD and PDRF scholarships for research in resource geology in Africa are potentially available via the Glencore-Xstrata Research Fellowship Program.
