ISER Data Analysis Training Workshop

Prof. Nomalanga Mkhize, ISER Board Member and Director of Governmental and Social Sciences at Mandela University accepts certificates on behalf of course participants from Mandela University from the ISER Director, Prof. Cyril Nhlanhla Mbatha.

The ISER hosted its first training workshop on data analysis at the end of 2021. The event was held online from the 1^st to the 3^rd December 2021. Rhodes and Mandela Universities students and staff members attended the workshop, which was sponsored jointly by the ISER at Rhodes and the NIHSS through the Centre for Women and Gender Studies at Mandela University. Contributing facilitators included Ms Lynn Woolfry of DataFirst at the University of Cape Town, Prof. Martin Gustafson based at Basic Education and the University of Stellenbosch. The main presenter was Dr Kara of the ISER, with coordination support from Prof. Mike Rogan of Economics and Economic History at Rhodes.
