Sipho January, a 2005 Bjourn graduate, was the School's Outreach Officer for the past two years. Tomorrow (Friday 20 Feb) will however be his last day with the School. He is moving to Cape Town to become a community liaison officer at the Desmond Tutu HIV foundation. As is the School's tradition, we said our thanks to Sipho having cake at tea time today (Thursday 19 Feb).
We also made use of the opportunity to officially welcome Harry Dugmore, the new MTN Chair of Media and Mobile Technology with whom the new School's outreach Officer will work. Khaya Thonjeni, a recent graduate of the school's Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies, is the new temporary Outreach Officer for the School.
