JMS staff member, alumnus and Y4Y youth radio show presenter Khayalethu Thonjeni is currently waving the SA flag in Amsterdam, Holland. He is attending a six-week Training for Trainers course.
This will prepare him better for the exciting but gruelling Citizen Journalism Training cluster that is part of the Knight Project at Grocott's Mail.
Khaya, being proudly Rhodes and a true journalist informed us that he met JMS alumnus Kanina Foss who was attending a course in Early Childhood Development and Multimedia.
Foss completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Media studies at Rhodes in 2006. She works for The Star and received a Mondi Shanduka award in the Hard News category with Alex Eliseev in 2009.
So as we are waving the flag for Bafana Bafana back home, these two alumni are waving the SA flag in the Netherlands as you can see in the photograph.
