  • I am registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) (as a practicing pharmacist)
  • I am a registered tutor and assessor with the SAPC
  • South African Pharmacy Council’s Committee of Experts for the Review of Competence Standards (2016-7). This Committee was tasked with reviewing the current pharmacy profession competence standards and developing a draft document of new competence standards which are in line with current practice and the International Federation of Pharmacy’s competency standards framework
  • Working Group for the Standard Development of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Council for Higher Education and SAPC) (2019- present)
  • Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa
  • Member of the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy

  • Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmacy management, Over-the-counter prescribing for minor ailments, Chronic disease management, Healthcare systems in South Africa, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Evidence-based Practice

Pharmacy education, Professional identity, Pharmacist’s role in primary care, pharmacovigilance.

  • Pharmaceutical care in the primary healthcare environment
  • Role of the pharmacist in care for older persons
