The Annual Teach-In takes the form of a week of public lectures hosted by the Rhodes University Department of Political and International Studies. These lectures bring a particular issue of interest and concern in the public sphere to the attention of the University and the wider community. The purpose of the Teach-In is to consider an issue of public concern which will touch the future careers and lives of all Rhodes students.  The lectures take place over lunch and run for an hour. These lectures are included in the undergraduate programme, as first year and other interested students, staff and members of the wider community attend the events each day.
