New book details potential for green SA economy

Issues of environmental conservation in South Africa and the nation’s economy were on the cards at the book launch of ‘Breakthrough: Corporate South Africa in a Green Economy’ which was edited by Alumnus, Professor Godwell Nhamo. The launch filled the Rhodes University Alumni House to capacity on Wednesday evening.

The event saw many speakers driving the economy-ecology conversation including Professor Lynette Louw (Deputy Dean of Commerce at Rhodes), keynote-speaker Professor Heila Lotz-Sistka and Mrs Letitia Greyling, who wrote Chapter Five of the book: ‘From methane curse to carbon trading at Gold Fields”.
