After completing her matric Cape Town native Laura Eastham decided to take a gap year to travel and work overseas. She came to Rhodes University in 2016 feeling ready for the academic challenge. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2018, majoring in Legal Theory and Environmental Sciences and is currently completing the fourth year of the LLB degree. She plans on laying a strong foundation to build her work in the position of Academic Councillor. Eastham is a critical thinker, is extremely organised. She prides herself in being the type of person who can sit back and look at a situation to try and piece it together.
