Project Manager and Treasurer General handing out cake at The Kaif for Human Rights Day
Today the SRC, student body and RMR commemorated human rights day at the Kaif; speaking about Human Rights is and what it means to them.

In courtesy of PnP, a large cake was shared over some good music and interviews as RMR (89.7fm) was live from 10:30 to 13:00. Students came and shared their views on Human Rights and also which Human Right is most important to them and why.  Ntsika Maweni who was the MC for the day kept the interviews going, and flowing...like the water. Our SRC President Samkelo Mgadi started off with a short speech about why this day should be commemorated. The day was productive and a way to reflect on South Africa now and how far it has come as students shared their thoughts. Mandilakhe Valela who is a student and also an SRC alumni said a Right that is most important to him is the right to life.

The SRC hopes to see more students attend such events-events that bring us together and remind us who we are, where we come from and where we ought to go.
