Education Technology Teaching Assistant
Stones has been a student at Rhodes University since 2015 when he registered for a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Computer with a keen interest in the field of Machine Learning, Network & Cyber Security. He was appointed as a tutor in 2017 to tutor Computer Science and later promoted to an associate lecturer on part-time basis until 2018. During this period he taught programming language courses for first and second year students . He joined CHERTL in 2018 as an Education Technology Teaching Assistant whose primarily focus is to aid lecturers and students alike in the use of technology in teaching and learning. This role also requires of him to work as an administrator for ruconnected and as website developer for CHERTL. Stones also works closely with Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPGS) where he helps with developing new features and updating their website.
