Walk the Talk
Three Rhodents from the Old Rhodian Gauteng Association decided to get together and enjoy the MTN Walk the Talk with 702 on the 23rd July. Not only is this walking event the biggest in Joburg, but with over 50 000 entries, it’s the biggest mass participation sports event on the continent. Pride Jani, Derek Sanhowe and Nozuko Twala, dressed with a ‘touch of purple’, decided to participate in the 10km walk - and had a great time throughout the day!
Old Rhodian Bursary Awards
The Old Rhodian Union handed over 28 bursaries to current Rhodes students on Tuesday, 25 July 2017. The awarding of these bursaries is based on financial need, academic record and where appropriate, whether a re-award is necessary. The OR Union funds are made possible by donations from the Chapman and Fitzsimons funds, the UK Trust, MySchool programme, the Annual Fund, ad hoc donations and various other bequests.
