Portrait of David Fuller

While I consider myself first and foremost a classical guitarist I am also passionate about the music of the African diaspora especially in South America. Whilst overseas I studied part-time guitar at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Furthermore, I completed a course in classical guitar-making while I was there which gave me deep insights into the heart of the instrument. I also had the privilege of meeting and interacting with some of the guitar greats including Roland Dyens, Pepe Romero, Paul Galbraith, Ana Vidovic and others, along with attending concerts and master classes. I have also studied flamenco guitar in Taiwan and jazz with Alvin Dyers and Gary Finberg in Cape Town. I run the guitar programme at DSG/SAC and do instrument set-ups and repairs in my spare time.
