Lieva is a violinist and music therapist working in Makhanda. She
completed the following degrees: MA Music Therapy (Guildhall School of
Music and Drama, UK); MMus Instrumental Performance (Royal Birmingham
Conservatoire, UK); and BMus(Hons) (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire,
UK). She currently teaches violin at Rhodes University, Nelson Mandela
University, and the Diocesan School for Girls. She also lectures a
module on music therapy at Rhodes University's psychology department.
Lieva enjoys playing chamber music and experimental music, and is a
part of the ensemble PentaFusion, who has won two Standard Bank
Ovation Awards at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda (2022; 2023).



Lieva is passionate about promoting health and well-being through
music therapy and runs her own private practice, Makhanda Music
Therapy.
