Rhodes University's Distinguished Professor Tebello Nyokong is set to receive her sixth honorary Doctor of Science degree later this year, this time from Imperial College in London.

This year the NIC Workshop took place at the Medical Research Council of South Africa (MRC) in Cape Town from 25-26 January.

This year the ICPP-9 Conference was held at the Zhongshan Hotel in Nanjing, China from the 3rd-8th July and was attended by four Chemistry/Nanotechnology staff members and four students.

As recipients of funding from the Pearson-Young Memorial Trust, we were afforded the opportunity to travel to London to experience a research environment in the United Kingdom. While there, we had the opportunity to work in University College London’s Division of General Surgery and Interventional Science, which is based at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.
