Lucky Brian Dlamini

Lucky

Lucky Brian Dlamini is from Johannesburg but originally from Kwa-Zulu Natal. He studied for a BA in Law, Journalism and Media Studies with a Radio Journalism specialisation at Rhodes University. He is confident that the study of journalism has equipped him with skills in radio broadcasting, audio recording and editing skills, producing podcasts, journalistic writing and photography skills.

He has interned for print publications and media institutions such as the Daily Sun, Sunday World and the Grahamstown-based Grocott’s Mail. He has also read and produced news for a community radio station – Radio Grahamstown (102.1 FM). He has a strong desire to broaden his media experience horizons, particularly in broadcast media in the digital era where media content is increasingly moving to online platforms. He wants to combine and use the knowledge he will acquire from the PGDip in Media Management with the knowledge he has acquired from the study of Law and Journalism to manage media institutions, particularly in the fields of policy making, research, advocacy and education. He is eager and ambitious to kick-start his career in the media profession.
