Last week, Honours student Mia Hattingh cleaned out the prizes at the 2025 Postgraduate and Post-Doctoral Conference. Mia received two awards: one for the best Overall Presentation and another for the best Rhodian Presentation. Mia's presented results from her Honours project, entitled "Assessing the spatial ecology of the lesser guitarfish Acroteriobatus annulatus (Chondrichthyes: Rhinobatidae) along the coastline from Port Alfred to the Great Fish River mouth (Eastern Cape, South Africa), using acoustic telemetry".
