Emiel is working as research technician and field assistant for the CBC. He helps out with general responsibilities and joins any field work that needs to happen. His background qualification is a Bachelors of Science, majoring in Botany and Zoology. His research focuse is aimed at the surveying of any potential alternate host plants in Albany thicket of the fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis to determine whether there is an established low level population in the Eastern Cape. This project has been running since May 2021. He has been employed at the CBC since the start of the 2021 work year.
