Rhodes ELRC staff and students travelled to Livingstone, Zambia, to participate in the 36th Conference of the Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA), from 17-21 September.
Prof Eureta Rosenberg presented the opening keynote address. She asked delegates to think about the development decisions that will determine Africa’s future, and whether Africans are adequately prepared and informed to make such decisions. And, what is the role of educators in this regard? Delegates were particularly interested in whether awareness-raising was adequate and if not, what more was needed.
